The process of home renovation
Step 1: Getting Ready
- floorplan of your house
- to know what you want and you like: Get ready your moodboards of photos of each of the space
- if you have no idea we can send you some suggestions because a photo means more than a thousand words
- tell us as specifically as possible what you envision your dream home looks like. It’s okay to start dreaming today, and eventually see what turns out in the end.
- Colours that you must have in your house
- Is there a piece of furniture that you must have in your house?*Payment will be advised before progressing to stage 2*
Step 2: Floor space layout planning
- 2D flat drawings of your furniture, cabinets etc when looked from the top down
- Explore different spaces and their uses. Eg whether you want a tea room with tatami mats
- We will come up with a proposed layout and you can amend it 3 times. So come up with
a) Whacky idea
b) Safe idea
c) Something-in-between
- Send us real-life photos of your house- Send us CAD drawings if you have them.
Don’t fret. It’s okay.
*We will all have questions so be comfortable to ask politely and respectfully even as we know it can be really anxious process as we are all eager to see the final perfect product*
*Payment will be advised before progressing to stage 3*
Step 3: 3D Rendering
- This is where we will create realistic images in 3D format.
- Choose less realistic vs more realistic photos. There is a difference because of the time and software involved. Prices quoted will vary accordingly.
- Walkthrough Videos also come in 2 variations: low and high quality.
- Virtual Reality Videos allow you to feel the space: low and high quality.
- 3 complimentary minor revisions: such as changing colors, texture, small adjustments. If you wish to change the theme, move walls, furniture around these are called major revisions and it would mean restarting the entire Stage 3 again at additional cost.
*If you subscribe to our premium plan, you get 20 major revisions and 100 minor revisions. Pretty-worth it if you ask me.
You get to work our designers and squeeze every ounce of their brain juices
Step 4: Materials and Renovation
- We can source for exotic Asian materials for you, because we are located in Asia where the magic happens. Tiles, Wall Décor, Wallpaper, Lighting, we can do that for you.
- Actual on-ground work will be carried out by your contractors which you will hire on your own. We are able to provide remote support and advice, CAD drawings and all the technical drawings necessary for the renovation.
*Prices are quoted once we have sourced them successfully. If you are agreeable we will engage a courier to deliver right to your door-step.
